Merry Christmas

"Christmas is a glorious time of the year, simple in origin, deep in meaning, beautiful in tradition and custom, rich in memories, and charitable in spirit." - Thomas S. Monson

Prepping for Christmas 2012

The older kids were soooo excited to put Christmas Ornaments on the tree...and a little disappointed when they had all been hung.
Upon awaking from a nap to find lights and ornaments on the tree, Adeline was in 'awe' of her new toy--known as the Christmas Tree.  And despite her parent's best efforts to keep the tree out of her reach she has taken down a few ornaments and tugged at the lights.

The other thing the kids couldn't wait to do...get out the manger scene.
Adeline approves!

Then there was the all important pow-wow with the Santa (have to get your orders in) and Mrs. Clause.
Adeline found him interesting...

...at first.

Christmas is definitely coming.

Momma's 1/2 Marathon

After training for several months, Momma got up early Dec 1st and headed downtown with friends--a.k.a. Team Half Crazy--to run her first 1/2 Marathon.

The kids texted well wishes while mom was waiting to start...so mom started texting back some photos.  Including--The start line...
the Mississippi...
Autozone Park...

St. Jude Hospital (the run benefited St. Jude)...
the back of the zoo...
and then at mile 10, surprise, surprise, Momma found a couple of kids and hubby she knew.

A little post race photo with our new medals...
Mom's bib and Medal.

Ella spent the day sporting a dress made from Mom's St. Jude Half Marathon t-shirt.  Too cute.

Daddy's Birthday

The kids worked hard buying and wrapping gifts for Daddy.
Zac helped to make the Apple Pie, and Ella enjoyed putting the candles in.
That's a lot of fire.

Little Miss Adeline

The adventures of Adeline the 7 and 8 Month old.
Which include smiling...

rug-ratting...
ponytails...
reading...
exploring...
climbing...
hurdling...
wearing momma's old outfit...
playing...
All followed by the most important activity, SLEEP! (With a certain thumb to suck.)

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving was pretty low key, which was quite nice.  We spent the day with just our own little family...Playing go fish...

Eating turkey for dinner...
...on fancy dishes with candlelight...
Smile...
Adeline even learned a new trick, how to pull herself up onto the bottom stair.
