So, we have reached a point on our swingset construction that we're going to call 'a functional finish'. Meaning there are few things that still need done, but all the big stuff is finished and the kids can play.
...Mommy and Nate bolting the swing beams into the bracket...
...the swing posts lying on the ground just waiting to get put up in place...
...two little munchkins happy to have swings...
...a look at the 'functionally' finished product and the hard working Daddy enjoying it...
...and Nathan playing in the fort.
It took a month of work, but we did it, and the kids can't get enough. When Ella prays the first thing she has to say is "swing, slide."
Here we have Nathan helping to put on the steering wheel... ...Ella driving the steering wheel...
...playing with friends...
And as for the work that remains, we still need to make and install a tic-tac-toe game, the bottom platform needs safety rails, and we still need a 1st step; oh, and we can't forget the baby swing (because Nathan won't let us) which has been ordered and is on it's way.
